November 18th 2025 starts off slowly

Today is the start of the new ID Checking system and so far today (8.30 am) there have been 4 companies formed. Compared with yesterday when there had been around 800 companies formed. We assume the 4 sneaked in first thing and the Companies House are not generating any newly formed companies yet. Yesterdays total was over 4600 companies, when often the quantity per day is between 2,500 to 3,000. Companies House have had issues previously when new processes or new technology have been introduced and the first few days have historically had delays. Our ACSP based ID Checks to help accountants and other ACSP registered users carry out identity checking will be going live in a couple of days which will take some of the pressure off the Companies House system

UPDATE: An hour later only 35 have been formed so this will be a slow burner today
